La Conquista
La Conquista is a municipality in the Carazo Department of Nicaragua.
Area: 88,38 km²
This remote community, which has a modest church with a figure of a black Christ, is recognized for its strong Catholic devotion. The "Posita del Señor de Esquipulas" pond, which is well-known for its miraculous healing properties, is another feature of the area. Except for the religious celebrations that take place just before Holy Week, La Conquista's urban center is modest and serene.
